MISSION STATEMENT

The Edgar County Sheriff’s office provides the administration of justice to serve the citizens of Edgar County by providing professional law enforcement in keeping the peace, protecting life and property, being the servant of the courts, maintaining the custody and control of our prisoners in and out of jail, and providing emergency telecommunications.

VISION STATEMENT

The Edgar County Sheriff’s Office will strive to be a premier law enforcement agency in the State of Illinois by identifying, responding to, and fulfilling the needs of the community we serve in an efficient and effective manner through HONOR, INTEGRITY, and a COMMITMENT to DUTY without infringing on anyone’s individual rights.
