esda-exerciseThe primary responsibility of the Edgar County Emergency Services & Disaster Agency (ESDA) is to better prepare Edgar County for natural or man-made disasters and emergencies.

ESDA coordinates the county’s disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery programs and activities. It functions as the coordinating unit of the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), maintains the county’s Emergency Operations Center and updates the Emergency Operations Plan. ESDA assists local governments with multi-hazard emergency operation plans and coordinates state and federal resources during a disaster.
